Advancing Health Informatics with Expertise
Petrena Saunders, MSHI, BSN, RN, LSSGB, CPHIMS, brings a wealth of health informatics experience to Vizzia Technologies. She is the Founder and Managing Principal of Anertep, a healthcare consulting firm, and has held key leadership roles in major healthcare systems.
In addition to this role, her previous positions include:
Petrena U. Saunders, VP of Nursing Quality Excellence and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO)
- VP and Chief Health Informatics Officer (CHIO) at Trinity Health of New England & NY, a healthcare system with over 100 hospitals.
- VP of Nursing Quality Excellence and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO) at Grady Health System, one of the largest safety-net health systems in the U.S.
- Leadership roles at Carilion Clinic, Ardent Health Services, and Northside Hospital.
Additionally, Saunders holds a master’s degree in Health Informatics from the University of Illinois, where she focused on integrating technology and clinical care to advance patient outcomes. She is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
