Executive Team

Andrew L. Halasz

Chief Executive Officer


Andrew Halasz co-founded Vizzia in 2005. He is a dynamic business leader who has been driving results for more than 30 years in a variety of functional and business leadership roles across industries for public and private companies.

Mr. Halasz was Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer of Recall Corporation, a global document management company acquired by Iron Mountain (NYSE:IRM). He grew his business acumen at General Electric (NYSE:GE) where he held numerous leadership positions including Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.


Howard R. Hatcher

Chief Technology Officer


Howard Hatcher joined Vizzia in 2009. He brings more than 35 years of experience in all areas of information technologies, with particular specialization in health care remote sensing solutions, global software development and IT consulting in a variety of industries.

Mr Hatcher has held a progressive series of IT leadership positions at: Compris Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of NCR Corp. (NYSE: NCR); Matria Healthcare (NASDAQ: MATR) a leading provider of integrated health programs acquired by Inverness Medical Innovations (AMEX: IMA); and ClientLink, an IT services company acquired by CompuCom Systems (NASDAQ: CMPC).


James C. Forbes

Chief Strategy Officer


Jim Forbes is a senior technology executive with proven leadership in creating and operationally implementing corporate strategy for high-growth companies. He initially served on Vizzia’s Board of Advisors, consulting on corporate development and Go-to-Market initiatives.

Mr. Forbes was Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of NS8 Corp. (OTCBB: NSEO) a software development company, Corporate Vice President of Equant NV (NYSE: ENT) a global data company acquired by France Telecom and Board of Director of iBAHN Corp., an Internet service provider (backed by Intel Capital).

Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Georgia. He is a Board of Director and past Chairman of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Corporate Development Society.


David R. Wiedman

Chief Commercial Officer


Dave Wiedman brings over 30 years of executive management experience in the technology industry (scanning, tracking, RFID) with a strong background in strategic business development and a proven track record in driving revenue growth and customer retention. Healthcare clients include: Catholic Health, Jefferson Health and Kaiser Permanente.
Mr. Wiedman was President & Chief Operating Officer of Lexicon Technologies, VP of Business Development for ChannelMax and Connect Inc. and Co-founder of AccuScan Inc. AccuScan was acquired by Peak Technologies (NASDAQ: PEAK).

Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Tampa. He served on the Board of Directors of the Service Industry Association (SIA).


J. Brad Steward, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Brad Steward has more than 30 years of financial and operational leadership for technology companies. He served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Summit Electric Supply a $235M national electrical distributor; CFO of SVS Inc. a $80M high-technology company (acquired by Boeing); and CFO of Solv-Ex Corp. (NASDAQ: SOLV) a developer of energy technology (sold to Koch Industries). Brad also served as Chairman of Qynergy Corp. a technology development company.

Mr. Steward is a Board member and past Chairman of CPAmerica International, one of the largest associations of independent CPA firms in the US, and past Chairman of the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Brad received his MBA and BBA degrees from the University of New Mexico and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Board of Advisors

Joseph M. Hogan

Joseph M. Hogan is President & CEO and a Director of Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALGN) a $1 billion global medical device company with industry-leading, innovative products.

Before joining Align, Mr. Hogan served as CEO of ABB Ltd. (NYSE: ABB) a $40 billion global power and automation technologies company. Prior to ABB, Mr. Hogan spent 25 years at General Electric (NYSE:GE) in a variety of executive and management roles, including eight years as CEO of GE Healthcare; where he drove significant expansion that more than doubled revenue from $7 billion to $16 billion.


Stephen P. Holmes

Stephen P. Holmes is Chairman & CEO of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: WYN) one of the world’s largest integrated hospitality companies with $5 billion in revenue.

Prior to Wyndham, Mr. Holmes served in various leadership positions in the hospitality and financial services industries, including Vice Chairman of Cendant Corporation (NYSE: CD), EVP & CFO of HFS Inc. (NYSE: HFS) and managing director of private equity firm The Blackstone Group. He began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte.


Paul F. McBride

Paul F. McBride is a former Executive Vice President of Black & Decker Corporation (NYSE: BDK) a $6 billion global manufacturer and marketer of power tools and accessories.

Prior to joining Black & Decker, Mr. McBride spent 21 years at General Electric (NYSE:GE). He was a company officer and served as President of GE’s global silicones business, a unit of GE Plastics. Mr. McBride is a member of several boards of directors, including the boards of T. Rowe Price Mutual Funds, Dunbar Armored Inc. and the Living Classrooms Foundation.


William S. Nichols, Jr.

William S. Nichols, Jr. is President of Nichols Consulting, an international advisory firm that provides strategic business development services to enterprises and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).

Mr. Nichols was Executive Vice President of Funds Distributor Inc. and served in other senior executive positions within the financial services industry for John Hancock Funds, Putnam Investments and Scudder Investments. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.


Edward L. Timmes

Edward L. Timmes is Managing Director of TCE Associates Consulting, an Accounting, Consulting, and Advisory Services firm.  Mr. Timmes began his professional career with national CPA firm, Coopers & Lybrand (PwC), where he became Partner providing transaction advisory and audit services.

After PwC, Mr. Timmes served in corporate executive roles including as former EVP & CFO of Keane, an IT services firm (acquired by NTT Data), as interim-turnaround executive to the board of NYFIX, Inc. a pioneer in electronic trading solutions firm (Nasdaq: NYFXE, acquired by NYSE-Euronext), and as Interim-CFO and Managing Director of AT&T-Solutions, a startup division of AT&T (NYSE: T). Mr. Timmes serves as an advisor to several start-ups and on the Board of Directors, audit and investment committees of MAPFRE–USA and Commerce Insurance Company.
